Mini Cooper Custom
The Mini Cooper is a blast to drive in all of its stock variations. If a Mini Cooper Custom sounds even better, it is and there are two main options you can explore.
The Mini Cooper is, of course, the rejuvenated brand brought to us by BMW. Much like the VW Bug was resurrected from the auto pile scrap heap, the Mini Cooper brand was resurrected from the scrap heap of good intentions in the British auto industry. The new Mini’s, however, are much more refined then the older cars and provide a ton of performance given their size.

As is all the rage today, you can technically create a Mini Cooper custom model by using the “build your own” function on the Cooper website to create a custom package of accessories and color styles that meets your need. Anyone can do this and it is part of the out the door price. I’m not really counting this as a custom option because it comes with every car.
The first of our more traditional custom options for the Mini Cooper is actually provided by the company. It is know as the John Cooper Works or JCW upgrade. You could add extra upgrades such as a better suspension in the older models. Now, it is just a general package that includes an increase in power, stiffer body and different body design that is more speed oriented. The engine is bumped up to 208hp, which is a ton for these small cars. Even better, the brakes are radically upgraded which is a huge improvement over my “S”.

The downside to the JCW cars is you don’t really get to pick and choose what you like. To resolve this, you can build a Mini Cooper custom car all your own. The “new” Mini Cooper is now over nine years old, so there are plenty of aftermarket car accessories available. You can modify everything from the brakes to the engine to the exhaust to the color scheme. Heck, arm rests for the driver’s seat are even available now. Imagine that!
You can use our “Shop” function above to get listings for the particular year of Mini you are interested in. From there, is it just a matter of building out your custom Mini Cooper to your own specifications.
