New 2010 Porsche Panamera S Specifications

What to do in the middle of a horrible car market? Launch a new car! This is the plan for Porsche with the new Panamera. We've got the 2010 S version specs right here.

The 2010 Porsche Panamera S is going to go down as one of those emotional cars. How so? Well, people are going to love it or hate it. In fact, they might have both emotions toward the car. This is primarily due to the fact the car is clearly a Porsche on the performance side of the equation, but the design is perhaps not.

What do you get if you slice a Carrera in half and then put the passenger compartment of a Lexus in between? For my money, you get a Panamera. I am an avowed Porsche lover, but this design looks like something off of the table where they made Frankenstein. It's not for me, but it is so unique that you might like it. Hey, to each their own. So, what are the specs of this new car? Let's take a look:

2010 Porsche Panamera S

Engine: aluminum, direct fuel injection 4.8-liter V-8 with VarioCamPlus valve timing
Horsepower: 400 at 6,500 rpm

Transmission: seven-speed PDK double-clutch automated manual

Customers are loyal to the Porsche brand, so the Panamera will most likely be a success. That being said, the design may be something the company comes to rue years down the line when it looks back at its model line.
